Key learning points
- Move: effective performance in the game requires using the correct technique for hopping and skipping.
- Think: knowing when and how to use the correct technique for both hopping and skipping helps our performance in games.
- Feel: successful game play is supported by showing self belief and trying our hardest throughout.
- Connect: playing by the rules enables the game to flow and our team to be successful.
Common misconception
Pupils run instead of hopping or skipping. Pupils get upset if points are being lost in games (beanbags are taken by the Zookeepers).
Remind pupils that running is a rule break and celebrate pupils who are hopping/skipping not running.
